Getting your tailwheel endorsement is easy!
Need an instructor? Adirondack Legacy Aircraft can connect you with an approved independent contracted flight instructor to help you.
Tailwheel endorsements take around 5-10 hours, the weather and pilot skill will determine this amount as need. You will be learning and demonstrating: taxiing, 2-point, 3-point takeoffs, stalls, s-turns, forward slips to landing, 3-point, wheel landings, and crosswind landings.

Pilots with a tailwheel endorsement have excellent stick and rudder skills, which enhance their aircraft control in all phases of flight. This is particularly crucial during landing, where anticipating the movements of the airplane is key. For those seeking to improve these skills, AATD flight simulators can provide valuable training, while legacy aircraft rentals offer a unique experience in mastering tailwheel endorsement training.

Most backcountry flying experiences are in tailwheel aircraft, and incorporating an AATD flight simulator into your training can enhance your skills. Additionally, if you're looking for hands-on experience, legacy aircraft rentals are a fantastic option for your tailwheel endorsement training.
